Our Charities
The mission of the American
Lung Association is to promote
lung health and prevent lung disease. For over a century,
starting with tuberculosis and now including a broader focus
on all lung disease, this mission has been carried out through
education, research and advocacy.
With the help of countless
dedicated volunteers and donors, the American Lung Association
is working on critical issues such as cutting youth and adult
smoking rates, making public places smoke-free, promoting good
asthma control measures, and providing information for those
with chronic lung disease.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services. Since it's founding in 1949, LLS has invested more than $600 million in leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and Hodgkin's disease research.
LLS-funded research has led to key advances in understanding all types of cancer and has helped produce new treatments to enhance and prolong the lives of cancer patients worldwide. Innovations in cancer treatment over the years have included radiation and chemotherapy, stem cell transplantation and new targeted therapies that kill cancer cells without harming normal ones.
By committing to raise funds for LLS, you are partnering with an organization that will one day find a cure for cancer!
Be a hero...save lives!
This year, whether you are an entire team or just one person on a team, you can support hospice care as part of the race. Through the National Hospice Foundation’s Run to Remember program, you can dedicate your race to the memory of a loved one. Run to Remember will send you a technical race short with your loved one’s name printed on the back.
You’ll raise funds with your personal fundraising page provided by RTR. You may designate a local hospice anywhere in the country to receive 50% of the net proceeds you raise. The other 50% goes to the National Hospice Foundation.
If a family member or friend was cared for by a hospice program, this is the chance to say “thank you”. What better way than to be part of the Bourbon Chase.
To join, once you’re registered for the Bourbon Chase, then register—for free—at The Run to Remember site at www.runtoremember.org.
