| How long is each leg? |
It varies - basically they average around 5 miles
each…none are shorter than 3.5 or longer than 8.1. Piece of
cake.
| How many people are on a team? |
There are 6 or 12 members on each
team. Each team is divided into two vans of three or six. We
also suggest that you have a designated driver for each van…someone
not running = more fun for all!
| How many teams are in the race? |
Due to limited infrastructure on some of the rural roads and our commitment to maximizing your Kentucky experience, we are limiting the number of teams to 200 in 2010.
How do I make changes such as team
name, teammates, or the team time?
Every team has a designated captain. The captain
will have the ability to make all updates, changes and additions
to the team roster. |
| How do I volunteer to assist with the
race? |
Great question! We definitely need excited supporters.
Go to the "Volunteers" page under the "Race Info" header
to sign up to help…and thanks!
| Is there an age limit? |
Another great question. Yes, due to the theme
of the event, we feel it is best to limit participation to individuals
over 21.
| Is there a time limit? |
Yes- your team needs to cover the entire course
under 11 min/mile pace. We love everyone! But if your team
isn't up to that standard, come back and see us next year - the
great bourbon will still be here.
| Will there be a party after the race? |
You know it! The post-race celebration begins
as soon as you finish. Food, drink and a grand time will be
had by all.
| What should I expect weather wise? |
In a word - perfection. Early October in the Bluegrass
is dry with highs in the low 60's and lows in the upper 40's.
| Will there be shots of bourbon at
every distillery for the runners? |
That would be a negative Ghost Rider, the pattern
is full. We hope you are joking. First, safety is our number
one concern out on the course. Second, we promise there will
be plenty of bourbon on hand before and after the race. Third,
good Kentucky bourbon is best savored slowly.
